The Faculty in a Glance

USC Faculty of Arts and Architecture

As the first faculty of the University of Science and Culture, Faculty of Arts and Architecture began its educational activities in 1993. At present, it offers 14 courses at bachelor and master levels to approximately 2000 students. In compliance with the National Perspective Document and the strategic plan of the USC, this faculty aims to reach the following objectives:

  • To train pious, skillful and intellectually curious graduates with appropriate skills in arts, particularly the Islamic arts.
  • To expand the research activities needed by the society and bring the results into practice.
  • To attract foreign students interested in Iranian-Islamic culture and arts.
  • To cooperate with regional and Muslim countries to offer courses and do research in Islamic arts.
  • To promote the culture of entrepreneurship in applied arts.
  • To plan and organize interdisciplinary courses needed by the society and obtain the needed permits from the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology.
  • To train graduates with the ability to start up small domestic and artistic industries.
  • To hold theorizing sessions in arts, particularly the Islamic arts.
  • To hold national and international seminars and conferences on applied arts.
  • To interact and cooperate with governmental and non-governmental art centers and introduce them to the students.
